Following extensive research into stem cell therapy for MS, Artemis hospital was found to be a possible option for treatment.
We were unable to access comparable treatment in England due to not meeting the qualifying criteria and the costs of private therapy was prohibitive. We had lengthy correspondence with all the hospitals on our list, offering this treatment.
Every question that was put to Artemis was answered within 24hrs and in detail. No question had to be asked twice. With this feedback it gave me confidence in the consultant, his team and the procedure they carry out and we decided that Artemis was able to provide the most comprehensive package that met our needs.
From time of arrival at the airport in Delhi every care and support was offered to ensure that our needs were met. There was a period of detailed physiological testing to ensure that I was fit to undertake what proved to be an arduous and exacting procedure. Read more…Click here
I’m Jose from Netherlands, I’m 59 years old, I am married to Tim, and I’m a mother of two daughters. I had Multiple Sclerosis (MSRR) EDSS 2.5.
Six months ago I underwent the HSCT treatment at Artemis Hospital, India. This is my story:
The first MS shup was probably in 1987. Until 2008 my family doctor unfortunately was convinced that it was psychological. For years I had a new shup for every 10 months and I had to manage by myself without any treatment. I often felt that I would become depressed and would faint from pain. Everytime after a shup I had to pull myself together and go on with my life, while others thought that I occasionally had a period of not being motivated for work.
In 2009 the diagnosis of MS was finally made. At that moment I was no longer able to work. In 2010 I underwent a CCVSI operation in Belgium. That temporarily gave me relief, but unfortunatelythe decline continued. The progress of the MS really worried me and I worked on my recovery by exercising to build up some physical condition. Mr David from USA shares his experience 11 months after HSCT at Artemis Hospital, India.
My MS journey started like most people. My daily symptoms included numbness in my legs and feet, speech issues, chronic fatigue, balance and dexterity just to name a few.
I was constantly thinking of my future with MS and the prognosis did not look good. I wasn’t going to leave it up to the Gods to determine my fate, I still had some fighting to do. HSCT was a family decision as well as a deep personal one.
I went through the treatment at Artemis Hospital in India. After I returned home, I did what the hospital asked me to do to get healthy again. I am now eleven months post HSCT. Read more…Click here

Real Story of MS patient from Canada who came to Artemis Hospital, India for HSCT Treatment
Four years ago, Janet was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, a permanent degenerative disease of the spinal cord and brain. Prior to MS , she lead an active lifestyle and held two jobs, home-schooling children and working as a machinist.
The initial treatment was a standard treatment as a first line of defense – that cost $25,000 annually, with hopes at slowing the progression of her type of MS. After this proved ineffective at stopping the progression of the disease, Janet was forced to change treatment, which lead to a treatment that cost $55,000 per year.
With her disease progressing, no longer being able to work, and requiring daily assistance at our home, Janet’s family was left looking for alternative options. After doing a lot of research, they finally decided for Jant to come to Artemis Hospital for her HSCT treatment in India. Read more…Click here

Marjorie from Australia shares her amazing HSCT journey to Artemis Hospital, India
I was diagnosed with MS in 1992/3 after going through a great deal of stress and anxiety. I turned SPMS about 8 years ago in 2010 and found that I was starting to limp – not ferociously but subtly. I would get tired often and decided to give up working in the fast paced city and retire early. Wasn’t easy but I found it necessary as my symptoms became more noticeable as time went by. My research looked at Mexico and Russia but I was put off applying to these hospitals as there was up to a year waiting list. I couldn’t wait that long as I seemed to be deteriorating fast and, since I managed to get a confirmation with the Artemis Hospital, New Delhi, I started to partake in my research on this treatment.
Before travelling to the Artemis Hospital in India in July 2017, and after doing a great deal of research on this treatment, I came to the positive conclusion that India was the place to go. I noted that Dr Gaurav spent one year practicing at the RVI hospital in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, which was my home town before immigrating to Sydney, Australia early 1991. All my enquiries on Dr Gaurav produced more than Read more…Click here

Artemis Wishes Marie from Norway a very happy and healthy life ahead… Warm farewell to a very brave person.
Marie a brilliant student in Norway took the brave decision to defeat MS and arrived at Artemis HSCT Center in mid September 2018. In 2013 however Marie’s father travelled to India for HSCT with great success. Having witnessed first-hand what this treatment can do, Marie decided to go ahead with HSCT at Artemis Hospital in India and is so happy to have come out successful and smiling.
