Hello, my name is Jukka Raikaslehto. I am from Finland and I have primary progressive multiple sclerosis.
And how I found out about India, well, my wife of course. My wife actually is the main reason that I got to know about this place and about HSCT.
My stay here in India, well, it’s been wonderful at the moment. I don’t know if you can see, every single time my dressings are changed, they draw a little smiley face or something like that on it.
The treatment here, it’s been wonderful. Every single step they are checking every single thing about me. My blood work is being done every single day since I got here. So I also see every single day what they are doing to me. They are disinfecting everything, so the danger of getting some kind of a disease here is almost zero.

I don’t have to worry about a thing here. The staff here, the doctors for example, they see me every single day at least twice. And if I have something to ask them, I can ask them. They actually answer some of the questions I didn’t even think about.
So my stay here has been wonderful. I feel safe here. And I’ve been treated with the utmost care here. I’m very lucky to be here.
Even though I heard that India isn’t the best place to be. Sorry, that’s not true. This is one of the best places to be. The care here is wonderful. I’ve enjoyed it here.
